Christmas is right around the corner so here are some of the Dogs Trust dogs searching for a home just in time.
The dogs are looking across the North and North East for a family from centres such as Darlington, Leeds and Cumbria.
But remember, a dog is forever and not just for Christmas.
Here are the 13 of the gorgeous pups in need of a home.

9. Skip (Border Collie, 18-months-old)
Are you a true Collie lover looking for a fab young dog to have loads of fun with? Skip is only 18 months old and although he’s a little wary of the big wide world, he’s proving that with patience and consistency his confidence is growing and he’s showing huge potential. His worries mean he needs a calm and predictable home, so he’ll need to be the only pet in an adult only home for now. A secure garden will be needed to give him somewhere to play off-lead. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Leeds

10. Lucy (Lurcher Cross, two-years-old)
Lucy is a STUNNING 2yr old Lurcher and she is one cracker of a dog! She is full of fun and so loving too. She’s a little worried by other dogs so cannot share her home with any other pets, but she doesn’t look for trouble out and about. She doesn’t like being on her own so her new family will need to be around all the time until she’s ready to slowly build up any alone time. A secure garden will be needed as she loves to play off-lead and burn off energy. She’s quite a bouncy lass so she’ll need an adult home where she can build a good routine. | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Leeds

11. Atticus (Belgian Shepherd Dog (Malinois) Cross, one-years-old)
The progress that Atticus has made during his time with us has been fantastic and we're really proud that he's now ready to find a forever home. This will be a slow process however as he will need to gradually build his confidence with his new humans and home environment. Our training team will help and guide you by passing on all the techniques we've used with him. This will really help him succeed in his home. He's fun boy to be around and once he's comfortable he really enjoys some gentle fuss and affection. He will always prefer his training over cuddles though so his new family must be training focussed and up for plenty of adventures with him. He has been working on his dog socialising and when properly introduced he can have walking buddies. So if you are already clued up on Atticus's breed traits and ready to work with us, get in touch now! | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Leeds

12. Lana (Lurcher, five-seven years)
Lana is fabulous, fun girl who loves to explore. Whether that be out and about on her walkies or jumping at table tops to see if there's any freebies going! Her love of food will aid her training and will be great for incorporating with fun enrichment games. Whilst she is still learning though, those kitchen counters will need to be free of any snacks. This playful girl is going to be fantastic to work with! | DT Photo: Dogs Trust Darlington
