Eldon Square to host weekend of fashion and beauty masterclasses with BBC Newcastle

Newcastle’s top shopping destination, Eldon Square is set to give the people of the North East a ‘glow up’, as they announce a weekend of fashion and beauty masterclasses taking place within the mall. 

Hosted by BBC Radio Newcastle’s Anna Foster, the event which is named Fresh, Fearless and Fabulous - will see influencers, make-up artists, stylists and many more experts in the industry provide free masterclasses across the full weekend, all about the world of fashion and beauty.

Anna Foster, who is the host of the Celebration of Fashion and Beauty and Presenter on BBC Radio Newcastle, said:“For anyone struggling with how to freshen up their wardrobe this Spring, it’s time to head down to Eldon Square.

“I’m looking forward to seeing plenty of people and chatting to them about what makes them feel fabulous. Nowhere does it better  than Newcastle!” 

Fresh, Fearless and Fabulous will be held on Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28, showcasing upcoming trends for 2024, with local trendsetters displaying how fashion and beauty is for everyone.

Experts who will be participating in the masterclasses include make-up artists Rubey Laila (who has created make-up looks for geordie reality star Amber Gill) and Amanda Bell, and fashion stylist who works in television Maddie Sidebottom.

Rubey Lalia commented: “I’m really excited to join an amazing line-up of local experts. We’ll be providing invaluable tips and tricks for the coming months, as well as spotlighting some of the great looks that are available at Eldon Square’s retailers!” 

Two fashion gurus from Eldon Square’s John Lewis store will also be in attendance, Jolie Ince and Jessica Chapman, to give their expert opinion and advice on fashion trends.

As the fashion and beauty experts showcase Spring/Summer trends, they will also exclusively showcase fashion items available to purchase from Eldon Square retailers such as Next, New Look, Monki, Hollister & Co, All Saints, Kiko Milano and John Lewis.

The two-day event at Eldon Square is completely free, and will be held outside of the New Look store between the hours of 12pm until 5pm on the Saturday and 12pm until 4pm on the Sunday.

There will also be a Spring flower wall, where guests at the event can pose for photos, explore fashion and beauty looks displayed and be in with a chance of winning an Eldon Square voucher by playing ‘Spin The Wheel’.
