Five points from three games may be an underwhelming group stage for many England fans, but the job has been done by Gareth Southgate’s squad.
After a midfield upheaval, a 0-0 draw against Slovenia on Tuesday night saw the Three Lions qualify for the following stage and although it is currently unknown who England will be playing, bars, pubs and venues across Newcastle are already putting plans in place.

The city’s major fanzones are already putting plans in place for the fixture, with NX announcing their fan zone will be reopening after a successful run of group stage games for the kickoff. Tickets are now on sale for the weekend event.
Staying in the city centre, Times Square’s fanzone is also already selling tickets for the knockout stage fixture. Front of screen, table and balcony tickets are all on offer to fans.
Other places which have previously shown the game such as Salt market Social, Ouseburn Garden and more are also expected to be showing the fixtures.

England will play one of the third placed teams at the tournament. The game will take place at 5pm BST on Sunday, June 30. The team will known their opponents following the games on Wednesday evening.
The game will take place in Gelsenkirchen, where England played their first group staeg fixture.
