Since it was announced a few years ago that reality television series Big Brother would return in 2023, fans of the show have been patiently waiting for its launch.

The show began in 2000 as a ‘social experiment’ and revolves around a group of people living in a house together, being watched 24 hours a day.

The show originally aired on Channel 4, and was hosted by presenter Davina McCall until it moved to Channel 5 in 2011, where previous winner Brian Dowling hosted the show, before Emma Willis took over and presented the show until its demise in 2018.

Big Brother also had its celebrity spin off - Celebrity Big Brother, which aired on both Channel 4 and Channel 5.

It was revealed that the show would be brought back to life in 2023, and would be broadcast on ITV2.

Fans patiently waited for the presenter to be announced, with the likes of Rylan Clark (who competed and won Celebrity Big Brother 2013) and Mo Gilligan rumoured to be considered for the role.

However it was finally announced that AJ Odudu would be the presenter of the 2023 ITV2 series. With her previous experience within the show, co-presenting spin-off show Big Brother’s Bit on the Side, fans were delighted to hear of the choice.

Now, it has been revealed that Gateshead-born Marcus Bentley, whose Geordie voice served as the Big Brother narrator for every series since its beginning including the spin-off shows, will be returning to narrate the show once again.
