Flooding weather warning issued for North East
Heavy showers are predicted to hit Newcastle and surrounding areas this Sunday, September 19.
It's not good news for those hoping to be out and about, with events such as This is Tomorrow and Ouseburn Family Pride set to take place in the city this weekend.

Hide AdThe Met Office has warned of potential flooding and even damage to buildings as a result of the downpours.
A statement said: "Heavy showers may lead to localised flooding and disruption to transport.
"There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.
"Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services.

Hide Ad"Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
"There is a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses."
Forecasters currently predict the rain will hit the region from 1 pm on Sunday and carry on through the afternoon until the evening.
There will be highs of 18 degrees and lows of 11 as the rain hits.

Hide AdThose wanting to be outside this weekend should make the most of more favourable conditions today and Saturday.
It's set to be sunny with clouds for the remainder of Friday and there will be highs of 20 degrees on Saturday, which is currently set to remain dry.
