The South Shields-born star is the highest Instagram earner of the current TOWIE cast.

New research into the Instagram earnings of The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) current cast members has revealed that a North East born star has secured the top spot.

According to the data analysed by TopRatedCasinos, South Shields-born Sophie Kasaei, who shot to fame after starring in the first ever series of Geordie Shore in 2011, is the highest TOWIE earner on Instagram.

The data was determined by analysing the Instagram accounts of each current TOWIE cast member to predict the potential earnings gained from a single post, with ads, collaborations and sponsorships considered.

Sophie was ranked in first place, with an estimated Instagram earning per post at £16,606.16, which could be due to her starring in two high-profile reality television shows.

Sophie appeared on Geordie Shore from 2011 until 2013, before returning to the show from 2016 until 2019. She became a main cast member once again in 2022, for Geordie Shore: The Reunion Series and is still continuing to take part.

She also joined the cast of TOWIE in 2023 as a main cast member due to being in a relationship with fellow cast member Jordan Brook.

Despite being an original TOWIE cast member, Amy Childs came under Sophie in the ranking, reportedly earning £7,091.71 per Instagram post.

The study also found that former TOWIE stars Ferne McCann and Megan McKenna made the list of top 10 highest-earning reality stars, while no Geordie Shore cast members were included.
