The Metrocentre, in Gateshead, has revealed a host of activities that are coming to the shopping centre this October half-term.
From circus acts to Gladiators, bosses at the Metrocentre have stated that there will be something for everyone.

Hide AdHelen Atkinson, marketing manager at the Metrocentre, has given an insight into what visitors to the Gateshead shopping centre can expect this half-term.
She said: “We’re thrilled to be hosting such a fantastic variety of events this October Half Term.
“From the futuristic thrills of HADO-ween to the wonder of the Big Kid Circus, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
“We can’t wait to see families come together for a fun-filled week at Metrocentre.”

Here is what you can expect from the Metrocentre this half-term:
BBC One’s Gladiators
The stars of BBC One’s Gladiators will be taking over the Metrocentre on Saturday, October 26, to provide fun for the whole family.
There will be photo opportunities and the chance to take part in an inflatable version of the famous duel event, where participants will face off against their family and friends.
The meet-and-greet sessions as well as the inflatable arena will be available from 10am until 4pm on a first-come, first-served basis and are free of charge.

Big Kid Circus
The Big Kid Circus is returning to the Metrocentre with Illuminations 2024, with spectators having the opportunity to see acrobatics, comedy, and jaw-dropping stunts.
The circus will be based in the Coach Car Park and will run from Sunday, October 27, until Sunday, November 3.
Showtimes will vary throughout the week and are as follows:
- Sunday, October 27: 4.45pm and 7.30pm.
- Weekdays: 3pm and 7pm.
- Saturdays: 1pm, 4pm, and 7pm.
- Sundays: 12pm and 3pm.
Tickets are available from the Big Kid Circus website (https://www.bigkidcircus.co.uk/) or from the ticket office at the Coach Car Park, starting from Friday, October 25.


Funday Monday
On Monday, October 28, the Metrocentre will host a family fun day that will see shoppers given the chance to win exclusive money-can’t-buy prizes.

HADO-ween
Metrocentre visitors can experience the magic an the mystery of HADO-ween - a techno sport that combines high-energy activity with the fun of video games.
The unique event will be based at Exhibition Square (opposite Primark) from Tuesday, October 29, until Friday, November 1.

Hide AdPartnering with the Newcastle United Foundation, HADO-ween will let players unleash energy balls and shields in an Augmented Reality (AR) sport.
No booking is required so visitors to the Metrocentre will be able to turn up and play.
The event will be available from 11am until 5pm each day and is suitable for children aged 7 and up.
