Keep your eye out for Joelinton at Glastonbury!

Just because the season is over doesn’t mean sightings of Newcastle United flags have stopped.

After football matches, the next best place you’re going to spot a novelty flag is the biggest music festival in the UK. That’s right, Glastonbury.

Glastonbury’s iconic flags are mostly localised and niche with the hope of their bearers being spotted in the 200,000-strong crowd. And so it’s no wonder there’s a Geordie masterpiece in the midst.

In fact, it might just be one of the best we’ve ever seen.

Yesterday, a fan account posted a sighting of the soon-to-be infamous Joelinton flag to Twitter. But it’s Joelinton like you’ve never seen him before; it’s Joelinton with his face superimposed onto King Charles’ body with the words: ‘God Save the King’ and ‘His Majesty Joelinton’.

As you can imagine fan reaction to the flag has been incredible with one fan commenting: ‘It’s so beautiful. Joelinton debuts at #Glastonbury23’ and another writing: ‘Long live Big Joe!’
