North East bakery chain Greggs has confirmed the return of a popular Christmas menu item.

Greggs has revealed that the popular Festive Bake will return to stores on Thursday, November 9, as the bakery chain launches its menu for Christmas 2023.

The announcement was made via an impressive drone show over the company’s factory, in Gosforth, this weekend, with footage shared on social media via Greggs’ official X (formerly Twitter) account.

The post simply states: “Baking news. The Festive Bake lands 09/11/23.”

In the video, the drones depict a sausage roll and a doughnut aligning with a planet and the moon before forming into a Festive Bake coming out of an iconic Greggs bag.

The drones in the video then form the words: “The Festive Bake is back” before revealing the statement: “Bag some joy 09/11/23.”

It is reported that around 500 drones were used in the spectacular show.

Fans of the popular pasty rejoiced on social media following the impressive announcement of the Festive Bake’s return.

Full details of the North East bakery chain’s Christmas menu at yet to be released but are expected in the coming days.
