It’s all in a name, right? Well, Newcastle bakers Greggs have definitely taken it to the next level.

The Gosforth-born shop has taken over the fast food game in the UK in the last couple of decades, sweeping the nation with sausage rolls, pastries and cheap breakfast meal deals. However, this time it’s their humour grabbing the headlines.

When the account @Catsillyness (Smol silly cat) posted a picture of a cute kitten and asked people to name it using the last food they ate, Greggs obliged with a quirky answer of their own - and it turns out it’s one of Newcastle’s favourite quick eats.

Quoting the tweet, as seen below, they said: “Sausage, Bean & Cheese Melt suits her so well 💙.”

What a cute name for a cat, eh?

Although, we’re not sure Geordies will be queuing up to name their cats after the baked fav, just yet.
