The band released their last studio album in 2007 but still sell out venues up and down the country as fans look to relive the days of The Hacienda and Madchester scene of the early 1990s, and this is everything you need to know about the gig.

When are The Happy Mondays in Newcastle?

The gig will take place at O2 City Hall Newcastle on Friday, March 22. This will be the group's fifth night of the tour after three nights in Glasgow and another in Nottingham.

Who is supporting The Happy Mondays at O2 City hall?

Support will come from Stereo MCs and the Inspiral Carpets.

Formed in 1985, Stereo MCs are a hip hop group from London with seven albums to their name. They are best known for the 1992 single Connected while Manchester's Inspiral Carpets are now on their second reformation after getting back together in 2022. Boasting five studio albums, the band's best known songs include This Is How It Feels and Dragging Me Down, which both reached top 20 places in the UK singles chart.

Previous shows have seen opener Stereo MCs open at 7:45, Inspiral Carpets play from 8:40pm before the headliners start their set at 9:45pm.
