Holly Hagan-Blyth was part of the original cast line-up in 2011, and remained a huge part of the show until her departure in 2019. However, Holly returned for the Geordie Shore: The Reunion in 2022 and the second series of it in 2024, where the show focused on her wedding to footballer Jacob Blyth and her pregnancy with her first child.

Now, Holly has revealed a Geordie Shore secret to fans of the show, via a TikTok video.

In the TikTok clip, Holly replies to a comment from an account named David Mc Mahon, which read: “Wasn’t there a hidden cast member in season 2”.

Holly starts the video by saying: “Oh my god yes, you’ve just jogged the biggest memory, I still can’t believe this happened. Honestly, grab a drink, this is a wild one.”

Holly went on to explain that during filming of Magaluf Madness which was a spin-off special of Geordie Shore following series one, where the cast took a group holiday to Magaluf, a new cast member from Scotland named Mari joined them.

Holly explained: “We all arrive at the villa, it’s amazing, we’re all having a good time and then the doorbell goes. We’re all like oh my god, who on earth could this be?”

“We open the door and there’s this beautiful blonde girl stood there. Then she started speaking and we realised she was Scottish.”

Holly went on to discuss the “stick” she received from being from Middlesbrough instead of Newcastle, as well as those who were from Sunderland and South Shields.

“So we were like, Scotland is a little bit of a stretch,” she continued.

Holly explained that she ended up getting on very well with Mari who she described as “lovely”, who filmed with the Geordie Shore cast for five days.

However, when the show finally aired on television, Mari’s scenes had been completely cut.

Holly explained: “When we watched the show, Mari - this beautiful, blonde new cast member, had been cut out of every scene.”

“They realised afterwards that actually, it didn’t really make sense to have this random, Scottish girl there because it was Geordie Shore.”

Holly did reveal that if you watch Magaluf Madness back closely, you can spot Mari in the background of some scenes.

“I just thought, oh my god that is so awful. Imagine thinking you were going to be on a TV show, and then they literally cut you out.”

Holly finished the clip by reaching out to Mari directly, saying to the camera: “If you see this Mari, get in touch because I’d love to know how you’re doing and what the story was with that.”
