The public are mourning the loss of Queen Elizabeth II, after Buckingham Palace announced her death on Thursday evening.

Here is how you can pay your respects to Her Majesty The Queen in Newcastle.

Books of Condolence are available to be signed at the Civic Centre and the City Library. Newcastle City Council have invited the public to share their thoughts and sympathies in the books.

Floral tributes for The Queen can be left at the Civic Centre on Ceremonial Way. Newcastle City Council stated that the flowers will be monitored.

A photo exhibition of The Queen’s visits to Newcastle will be on display in the City Library for the public to visit, for the duration of the official period of mourning.

A Service of Remembrance for The Queen will be held on the day before her funeral at St Nicholas’ Cathedral in Newcastle.
