Ice skate, meet Santa and experience the night sky at Life Science Centre this Christmas

The Newcastle attraction have announced what visitors can enjoy this Christmas.

Newcastle’s Life Science Centre is the place to visit this Christmas as they announce their full schedule for the upcoming festive season.

With much loved events returning, Life Science Centre is also bringing some brand-new Christmas fun to their unique attraction.

One of their brand-new events is named What Santa Sees, which is sure to be an instant hit with curious children.

What Santa Sees will allow children to journey to the North Pole and explore Santa Claus’s view from the sky on Christmas Eve, via a captivating 360-dome show.

The immersive animated show, which has been produced by Life Science Centre’s in-house team, will transport children to a twinkling wonderland as they follow Santa and his reindeer across the night sky.

What Santa Sees will premiere at Life Science Centre on Saturday, November 11 and run throughout the festive period.

Life Science Centre is also offering a package titled The Santa Experience, which includes the What Santa Sees show followed by an opportunity to meet Santa himself and Twinkle The Elf, while enjoying hot chocolate and sweet treats.

The much-loved ice rink at Life Science Centre will of course be returning, which has become a firm staple in Newcastle’s festive activities.  It will return to its usual place of Times Square, also on Saturday, November.

As well as taking part in events such as What Santa Sees, or enjoying skating fun on the ice rink, visitors to the centre can also get involved in relaxed festive activities, including a Christmas decoration craft workshop.

Chief Executive at Life Science Centre,  Linda Conlon, said: “Christmas is always a magical time and we are delighted to offer what we believe is a unique experience for families.

“The Life dome uses the most advanced technology to deliver amazing visuals and sound, making it the perfect setting for our fabulous new What Santa Sees show.”
