Newcastle’s newest and coolest venue is officially open for foodies, drinkers and partiers to enjoy.


Frate, located just behind Bar Luga and Grey Street, is an open air shipping container village offerring up cocktails, street food and music in the centre of town. With pizza from Slice Boys and kebabs and mezze from BABS Newcastle there’s no better place to spend a summer’s day.

Brought to you by the owners of Market Shaker, Dog & Parrot and Pumpherys, the venue is set to host DJs, live music and events- complete with a gigantic screen to show Wimbledon, F1 and the football.


The venue will also serve as a community space with yoga classes, cinema nights and vintage fairs.


Open until 2am every night and complete with a copious amount of heaters, it’s an amazing addition to Newcastle’s night life.


And Frate is already attracting the Toon’s finest. Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier was in attendance at their opening night on Thursday.
