KLM airline announce extra departures from Newcastle Airport as part of summer 2024 plans

KLM has announced its summer 2024 schedule for 2024, serving 155 destinations this over the warmest months of the year including; 92 in Europe and 63 elsewhere across the world - and Newcastle has been given additional options to get away this year.

Almost matching pre-covid levels, the airline will increase available seat capacity by around 7% compared to last year with the summer schedule starts on Sunday, March 31 and running through Saturday, October 26.

Increased frequencies from the North East will see additional flights to Marseille, Nice, Krakow, Gdansk, Wroclaw, Prague, Bologna, Florence, and Genoa.

After 19 weekly flights during the winter period, the summer period will see flights from Newcastle run 23 times per week with one additional flight each Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

This will then extend to four flights each day out of the North East, bringing KLM's total to 28 weekly flights. This will run throughout the peak season from Monday, July 1 until Sunday, October 20.
