The family of a 43-year-old man killed in Wallsend on Monday have released a heartbreaking tribute to a family-man full of 'laughter and love'.
Nathaniel Wardle Senior tragically died after sustaining serious injuries from a bladed weapon.
The attack took place in broad daylight at 2:30 pm outside his home on St Hilda's Avenue, Holy Cross.
The father of four, known affectionately as Natty, was pronounced dead at the scene.
18-year-old Mohammed Rabani of Weldon Crescent in Heaton was one of the males arrested in an initial enquiry and has now been charged with murder and possession of a bladed article.
The family of Nathaniel have today paid tribute to him and say he will be missed by all.
In a heartfelt tribute, they said: “No words will ever be able to express the deep sadness and loss we feel.
“Natty was an incredibly funny man, who always looked to make others smile and his generosity was known by so many.
“Everyone loved him and he was a huge part of our family and will leave a big hole where his laughter and love used to fill our lives.
“He will be greatly missed but will still always be a part of our lives through his children who he loved so much.”
Mohammed Rabani remains in custody and will appear at Newcastle Crown Court on Friday, June 24.
