North Shields' Liam Fender is set to join forces with a Newcastle-based gospel choir to mark his biggest gig to date at the Boiler Shop on 17 May.

“This gig is an idea that has been in the back of my mind for some time and when it was suggested to me I thought, why not," said Fender. "I love gospel music and choral music and figured it would be interesting at least to hear my material with that treatment. This will be our biggest show to date.
"It's the perfect marriage of heartfelt songwriting and soul-stirring gospel music."
The show is led by Tyneside concert promoter Paul James. Known to frequently work alongside celebrities such as Jason Cook, Chris Ramsey, Nolberto Solano and Alan Shearer, Paul helms the NorthEastFUSE project, which brings together disparate cultural artists for special one-off collaborative concerts.
