Lockdown, restrictions & the hospitality fight back - a look ahead to NE1 Restaurant Week

It’s that time of year again - back by popular demand is Newcastle Restaurant Week!

There are over 70 different restaurants taking part, offering a huge variety of food from street treats to fine dining, all at an affordable price. Well, for one week only.

Horticulture is just one of the restaurants that are involved in the scheme. We spoke to the owner Mike Hesketh about why they wanted to get involved in the event.

After nearly two years of lockdowns and restrictions, the hospitality industry has taken a hit - but NE1 are hopeful that restaurant week will help the industry and give a boost to the local economy.
