Madness announce Newcastle Racecourse show for next summer

Ska and pop band Madness have announced that they are set to play Newcastle Racecourse in June 2024.

The British music icons released their 13th studio album, ‘C’Est La Vie’, earlier this month and will take to the stage at the races on Friday, June 28.

Their appearance is set to be pair of the three-day Northumberland Plate Festival - with Plate Day scheduled for Saturday, June 29.

Paul Elliot, executive director of Newcastle Racecourse, has revealed that the venue is expecting a sell-out crowd for the festival so fans should get their tickets as soon as possible.

He commented: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Madness to Newcastle Racecourse on Friday 28th June, where they’ll be performing as part of the three-day historic Northumberland Plate Festival.

"They are one of the country’s most popular artists. We’re sure that they will blow our customers away with a live performance.

"We are anticipating a sell-out crowd, so would encourage our customers to book sooner, rather than later.” The band's performance at the races is part of a huge outdoor tour throughout the UK and Ireland in summer 2024.

The Newcastle Racecourse gig will be Madness' only date in the North East, with tickets on sale this week.

Pre-sale tickets, via O2 Priority, will be available from 10am on Wednesday, November 29 until 9am on Friday, December 1.

The general sale begins at 10am on Friday, December 1 - with adult grandstand tickets starting from £40 plus a booking fee.
