5. Fifi (two years)
Fifi is an indoor cat, looking for an adult only home with no other pets. Fifi was a very very timid and nervous girl when she first arrived at the shelter, who struggled to settle into cattery life. Thankfully, she was able to be cared for by a temporary foster family whilst she was undergoing her medical treatment in order to become ready to rehome. When she first arrived in her foster home, she remained a very scared little cat. She was given the time she needed to settle into a single room and then started to her explore other parts of the house overnight when there weren’t any humans awake and moving around! As time has gone on her confidence has improved immensely. When she wants food, play or strokes she comes to find her humans and is very insistent that they respond accordingly. She will happily roll around on our laps until she settles to sleep and comes into the bedroom to cuddle up when she wants too. She really is one of the cutest cats to play with! However, she does need a home with someone who is patient enough to first let her settle and then to continue her socialisation so that she is less spooked and more acceptable of being approached and picked up. 6. Yogi Bear(five years)
Yogi is an outdoor cat, who would prefer an adult only home. Yogi would most likely be suited to a rural area where he has plenty of land to explore! Yogi Bear is a very nervous and anxious boy who has been struggling to adjust to the cattery environment. Yogi Bear came into our care as a stray therefore, we do not know his previous history however, he has been finding life with us quite stressful. Yogi Bear prefers to spend a lot of time by himself, he appears quite comfortable being left alone but once you get close to him, he becomes very uncomfortable and will audibly tell you so with a few hisses or growls. He does not lash out however and he will observe you curiously from a distance. Furthermore, he does seem to enjoy the occasional treat, he would just prefer to eat them in his own company while perched on the windowsill. Yogi Bear is still just at the beginning of his journey at the shelter, with more space and patience he will hopefully start to come out of his shell and show us his real personality. For the time being, Yogi Bear would be best suited to an adult only home which is quiet, to give him all the time he needs to settle down and become familiar with his surroundings and new family. 7. Indie and Tinkerbell (10 years)
Indie and Tinkerbell are outdoor cats who could live with children age 10+. They can’t be rehomed with other cats. Tinkerbell was a bit nervous when she first arrived at the shelter, but we’ve now got to know what a sweetie she really is. She’s always at the front of her pen to greet us ready for attention! Tinkerbell loves rubbing herself on you and getting a good fuss. She loves head scratches and will push her head onto you hand to make sure you don’t stop! Tinkerbell has started showing an interest in string toys and enjoys chasing them around her pen. Other than string toys Tinkerbell hasn’t show interest in other toys and much just prefers the attention of people. She also loves Lick-e-lix, they’re her favourite treat and can be used to win her over! Indie is struggling with the cattery environment at the moment and spends a lot of time hiding in her bed. She is nervous and takes some time to come around to people. She needs someone that will give her the time she needs to settle into her new environment and come out of her shell. 8. Millie (seven years)
Millie is an outdoor cat, who would prefer an adult only home. Millie is a truly beautiful girl inside and out! She has a lot of love to give, and she loves nothing more than getting fuss. Millie was a bit unsure when she first arrived in the shelter, so we got to know her sassy side of personality at first, however now that she’s settled in, she’s a very confident, friendly and loving girl. Millie absolutely adores attention, she’s not shy to make new friends and ask for some fuss. When she’s in the mood for a cuddle, she even treats strangers like they’re her best friends, she loves to be close to you so she often either gets straight into your lap, or jump up on the cat tree to stand closer to you if you’re standing up. She starts purring away as soon as you start stroking her, and she likes to nudge her head into your hands, or even gently grab your hand with her paws and give you little licks to show you her appreciation!
