An Indian Restaurant nestled in between Newcastle and Gateshead is celebrating a ‘triple triumph’ after securing their third win of the year. 

Raval Indian Restaurant and Bar, which is located near the Tyne Bridge on Church Street are now becoming known in the industry for the incredible wins and accolades, and have been recognised for their excellence in the culinary industry once again.

At the prestigious Asian Curry Awards 2023, Raval Indian Restaurant and Bar were announced as the winners of the Best Fine Dining Indian Restaurant Outside London, at a dazzling ceremony held in Mayfair, London.

The awards, which have been compared to the curry industry’s equivalent to the Oscars, showcase the best of the industry, and Raval Indian Restaurant and Bar were recognised for “culinary brilliance”, standing out among other restaurants in the UK, including those with Michelin stars. 

Raval Indian Restaurant and Bar were given the prestigious title at the awards which was hosted by BBC News presenter Samantha Simmonds, and a range of high-profile guests including the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.

Mr. Yawar Khan, Chairman of the Asian Catering Federation (ACF) and Asian Curry Awards, said: “I warmly congratulate all of this year’s winners. These awards come at a difficult time for many in the Asian restaurant industry, but through their participation, many establishments will see a significant boost to their bottom line. 

“I would also like to particularly thank the UK public for their overwhelming support. Tens of thousands of people voted for their favourite restaurants this year. We are all grateful for this high level of interest and engagement, which underlines the importance of the Asian restaurant industry and its social, economic, and cultural impact across the UK.”

This is the third win of the year for Raval Indian Restaurant and Bar, who were also named Best Indian Restaurant in the North and Best Asian Fine-Dining Restaurant Outside London in two separate awards ceremonies.
