Newcastle bar reveals exciting April events - including Basshunter gig and Harry Potter tasting experience

A popular Newcastle bar has announced a programme of exciting events taking place in their venue this April. 

Located on Argyle Street in Newcastle’s bustling city centre, Alfie’s Newcastle is a bar with a unique twist, as the exciting events held in the venue is what makes it stand out among Newcastle’s nightlife scene.

It is also home to Alfie’s Fried Chicken which is a varied and exciting chicken menu available to eat within the venue. From the creators of the popular Brack Burger, Alfie’s Fried Chicken includes a wide variety of burgers, chicken wings, sandwiches and much more. The menu also includes sides, dipping sauces and sweet treats. 

Alfie’s Newcastle also hosts their own bottomless brunch, an in demand event in Newcastle’s city centre. A bottomless brunch at Alfie’s Newcastle includes two hours of drinks and a meal from the Alfie’s Fried Chicken menu for only £35 per person. 

However, Alfie’s Newcastle has recently caught the attention of Newcastle revellers due to the unique and fun events they host in their venue.

Taking to their official Instagram page, which boasts 15.5k followers, the bar announced their line-up of events taking place this April. 

The first event is a Bob Ross Paint Along, which will be held on Thursday, April 11. For £15 per person, guests will be provided with a canvas, brushes and paint as they create artwork alongside a virtual version of the late iconic painter, Bob Ross.

Their second event will be the return of their much-loved Mario Kart Wii Tournament. To participate in the tournament which will take place on Thursday, April 18, competitors must purchase a ticket which will cost them only £1. Spectators are welcome to watch the action unfold, and do not need to purchase a ticket. 

On Friday, April 19, popular Oasis tribute band Howaysis will perform an intimate concert within the venue. But for those who like a different genre of music, dance legend Basshunter will also be heading to the venue on Friday, April 26.

Finally (and perhaps most excitingly), Alfie’s Newcastle is the first bar in Newcastle to host a 5D movie tasting experience. On Sunday, April 7 and Monday, April 8, Alfie’s Newcastle will host Eatflix presents Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. 

This event consists of guests watching the iconic first movie from the Harry Potter franchise, while they delve into dishes inspired by the movie.
