Newcastle cabaret venue to host Rio Carnival inspired event

Top Newcastle cabaret venue, The Purple Peacock, which is known for its immersive live events, have announced a brand-new summer show.

The city centre venue, located at 55 Degrees North on Pilgrim Street, will be hosting a carnival event inspired by Rio Carnival, named Carnival De Peacock, which will launch on Friday, July 28.

Carnival De Peacock will bring together a variety of entertainers, such as aerial artistes and fire breathers, as well as singers and dancers to create an incredible summer show with a Latin twist.

Fabian Pritchard, marketing director for Purple Peacock and other North East venues said:  “We’ve put together a unique experience which is unlike anything else that is currently available in Newcastle or in the North East as a whole.

“The costumes, the music and the talent of our entertainers is really going to make this a night to remember.”

The show, which will run for eight weeks, will be available to book as a show only option, or be booked alongside pre-show entertainment and dinner.

Those who opt for the full experience will be entertained by Britain’s Got Talent star Matt Pagan, who won the show in 2014, as part of the singing group Collabro.

The menu available for the dinner will be the a la carte menu, which offers sushi sharing platters, steak, pan roasted cod, rack of lamb, lobsters and vegetarian options.

Pre-show entertainment will begin at 6.30pm, and the main show will start at 8.30pm. Tickets for Carnival De Peacock are priced at £29.95, those who choose the pre-show experience will pay the same price plus the cost of their meal. Tickets can be booked from The Purple Peacock website.
