Newcastle city centre outdoor venue set to transform into a festive alpine village

FRATE in Newcastle city centre is set to transform into an alpine village on Friday, December 1, as the venue gears up for the festive period.
The outdoor venue, which is just off High Bridge, now has a brand new fully covered canopy to protect customers from the elements of the North East winter weather.

Hide AdTitled 'WINTERLAND at FRATE', the venue will be filled with Christmas trees, fairy lights, garlands, and more.
New DJs are set to fill FRATE with festive music to get customers into the Christmas spirit, while new food vendors will serve cuisine such as Yorkshire Pudding wraps, German Bratwurst hot dogs, pigs in blankets and Christmas-themed pizzas.

Festive drinks such as hot chocolates, Christmas cocktails and mulled wine will also be served throughout December.

Hide AdFRATE will also be launching an open-air cinema, which will show Christmas movies throughout the festive period, with daytime and evening shows available.
Booths and tables at WINTERLAND can be reserved for Christmas parties, along with a full venue hire also being available for exclusive events.
These can be pre-booked for parties between 20 and 250 guests during any day or time throughout December, excluding Christmas Day.
WINTERLAND at FRATE will be open from 5pm until 12am on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 5pm until 2am on Fridays and from 12pm until 2am on Saturdays and Sundays.
