With Easter on the horizon, many workers across the UK are getting ready for a four day weekend, and while the extra days allow for more time with friends and family, it means some services are out of order.

Supermarkets have confirmed their opening times, the Met Office has issued its weather forecast and public transport services have announced their schedules.

Bin collection adjustments have also been confirmed by councils across the country, including Newcastle City Council.

The council has said there will be no changes to any households who have their bins collected on a Monday.

Although bins will be collected as usual on Monday, April 1, any collections due on Friday, March 29 will be put back to Saturday, March 30.

This is the only change to bin collections across the city over the four day Bank Holiday Easter weekend.
