Newcastle drag queen cast in brand-new Sky show starring Sheridan Smith

Geordie drag queen, Samantha Stone has now taken her talents to our TV, as she is starring in the brand-new Sky Original show, Rosie Molloy Gives Up Everything.
The show, which stars Sheridan Smith as the titular character, premiered on Sky and Now TV on December 7.

Hide AdJosh Bamling, who performs as Samantha acts in the role as his drag persona. He uploaded a post announcing the role. He uploaded the promotional image for the brand-new TV show, alongside a screen grab of his appearance as Samantha in the show and an image of the credits, where his name can be seen.
He uploaded the post on both his drag page, and his own page. He captioned the post: “Samantha Stone, star of stage and SCREEN!” He added: “Had the best time filming for this earlier this year, thanks to the whole team, including the gorgeous and talented @sheridansmithster and @olivermwellington who I can be seen acting alongside.”
Fans, friends and family took to the comments to show their support, with one writing: “Yes!! So proud of you babe”, Josh’s mother commented on the post, writing: “Proud mama has binge watched the whole series this afternoon. Loved it. Love you.”
Bamling now lives in London, but recently returned to his hometown to perform as Samantha Stone at the travelling Greggs Festive Bake Brunch, which arrived in Newcastle on November 26. Samantha entertained the guests with hilarious and impressive routines, lip syncing and dancing to Christmas and girl group hits.
Rosie Molloy Gives Up Everything is now available to watch on Now TV.
