Newcastle Restaurant Week is here and Geordie excitement to enjoy cheap meals out is palpable - one participating restaurant saw its booking system crash last week amidst a scramble for tables.

NE1's Newcastle Restaurant Week has become a real highlight in the Newcastle foodie calendar, taking place twice a year and running ever since 2011. This January's bumper event is a record-breaker for organisers, with over 100 restaurants taking part.

Last year, the restaurant weeks held in January and August saw more than 100,000 diners eat out and generated over £2 million for participating businesses.

When is Newcastle Restaurant Week for January 2023?

Restaurant Week is happening now and will run from 15th to 21st January.
