Newcastle Theatre Royal have sent a message to the public, expressing their sadness following the death of Her Majesty the Queen.

The theatre posted the message to their social media pages, and sent via email to their mailing list.

The message read: “The trustees, management and staff of Newcastle Theatre Royal wish to express their sorrow following the announcement of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and our thoughts are with the Royal Family and everyone at this sad time.”

The second part of the message explained that the theatre could close to mourn the queen.

It read: “As details for the funeral arrangement are announced, we will confirm our performance schedule and inform customers as soon as possible.”

The message was accompanied by an image of the Royal Arms of the United Kingdom.
