Newcastle United provide STACK fanzone update as it nears completion

The fanzone is set to open this Summer.

Newcastle United has provided an update on the construction of its new fanzone ahead of its opening this Summer.

St James’ STACK, presented by Sela, is being constructed at Strawberry Place and the transformation is underway to create the entertainment venue.

Now, STACK has unveiled the street food traders who will be taking up residence in the fanzone.

An exciting mix of original traders, brand new operators and well-known North East restauranteurs will become a fixture in the shadow of St James’ Park.

Among those opening for the first time will be Tiptop, featuring a range of Asian inspired noodle and rice dishes.

Soju & Gogi, who currently run a Korean BBQ restaurant at Dean Street and an express store in the Grainger Market, will also feature.

Newcastle favourite Dabbawal will also be bringing their much-loved Indian street food to STACK.

Acropolis, Texas Smoker, Brack Burger, Davey’s Mexicano, ZZA Pizzeria, Yolo Coffee & Kitchen and Holy Duck will also have stalls in the new venue.

Darren Eales, CEO of Newcastle United, added: “We are thrilled to hear that STACK’s reputation and expertise has attracted such a vibrant mix of traders that will collectively create a truly unique social hub here in the city.

 “It is exciting to see the vision continue to come to life as we progress through each phase of development, with an incredible lineup of food venders unveiled this week.
