Newcastle United have taken to social media to poke fun at one of their players’ hilarious kit choice.

On TikTok, the NUFC account posted a video shining a light on none other than Matt Ritchie, showing off the footballer’s fresh kit folded and ready to go in the locker room.

However, there’s a punchline.

Next to his kit, in prime position, are a pair of personalised shin pads which Geordie fans will love.

Sausage roll shin pads, to be exact.

After panning over the 34-year-old’s kit, the camera then comedically zooms in on the North East-themed guards with the caption: ‘Matt Ritchie- a man of culture.’

Some fans, however, were disappointed that the sausage rolls were obviously not from Greggs.
