Newcastle United WAG Charlotte Trippier celebrates Chinese New Year with family

Newcastle United WAG Charlotte Trippier recently got involved in the Newcastle celebrations for Chinese New Year. 

Charlotte, who is married to Newcastle United star Kieran Trippier, headed into Newcastle’s city centre to watch the Chinese New Year parade along with her children. 

On Sunday, February 11, Newcastle’s Chinese community performed their annual parade to celebrate Chinese New Year 2024. 

2024 is the Year of the Dragon, which symbolises good luck, power and strength.

The colourful parade which consisted of traditional dragon dance performances, and much more, began at Grey’s Monument and finished in Newcastle’s Chinatown. 

There were also food stalls serving delicious Chinese food, and other vendors selling arts, crafts and produce to the public.

Charlotte was among hundreds of North East residents enjoying the festivities. 

The WAG who is known for her social media presence, sharing images of family life, fashion and travel shared an image to her Instagram Stories of herself and her child watching the parade. 

Last weekend was a big one for the Trippier family, with Newcastle United skipper Kieran registering his 10th assist of the season in a 3-2 win at Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening. That puts Trippier at the top of table when it comes to providers in the Premier League - and he’s the first player since Laurent Robert to hit double figures for assists.
