Botman is currently working on recovery after undergoing surgery on a knee problem which plagued his campaign last season. And while he won’t be back training with the rest of his teammates, who are set to jet off to Germany next week as part of a pre-season camp, Botman may well be called back in for testing and assessment of some sorts. The full Newcastle squad, bar those who have been on international duty, are due back at Benton over the next two days.

And ahead of becoming a father for the first time, it seems like Botman and Kesselaar have been sunning it up this summer - well, according to her Instagram account.

Kesselaar posted a selfie of herself, with growing baby bump on social media, later adding a pic of other half Botman at a restaurant with another unnamed man.

In April, Botman and his long-term girlfriend Chana Kesselaar have announced that they are expecting their first child together.

24-year-old Botman has been in a relationship with fashion stylist and illustrator Chana since 2016, and the pair will celebrate their 8 year anniversary in August of this year.
