Newcastle United’s Joelinton posts loved-up photo with other half

Newcastle United midfielder Joelinton took to social media to repost a loved-up snap with his long-term fiancee Thays Gondim. 

The image, which was originally posted by Thays to her Instagram Story, showed the couple on a shopping trip to Zara. 

Thays had written on the post: “Te amo”, and included a red love heart emoji.

Te amo is Spanish and Portuguese for “I love you”.

Both Joelinton and his partner Thays are from Brazil, where the primary language is Portuguese. 

The couple have been together since 2015, and became engaged to one another in June 2022, after Joelinton popped the question in front of friends and family at a party in Brazil. 

The couple share three young children together, with their youngest child being born in June of last year.

In the photo uploaded to Instagram, the pair can be seen to be dressed in casual yet fashionable clothes, with Thays sporting an Adidas Originals fleece jacket and beige cargo pants. 

The couple have a close bond with fellow Brazilian player Bruno Guimarães and his wife Ana Lidia Martins. Thays recently posted an image of herself and Ana, where she is pretending to kiss Ana’s pregnancy bump. 

Joelinton is currently recovering from an recent operation, but headed to St James’ Park on Saturday, March 2 to watch his fellow players take on Wolverhampton Wanderers, where they won with a score of 3-0.
