Visitors to a Live Skies show will be fully immersed in 360-degree visuals of the night sky, without weather or light pollution spoiling the view.

The new show comes following the success of Life’s popular planetarium shows which were developed for families.

However the presenter-led Live Skies shows have been designed to suit adult audiences, providing an extended version of the experience, giving adults the opportunity to delve deeper into the history and mythology of the patterns of seasonal stars.

Live Skies will be held bi-monthly, as part of an expanded after hours service for adult visitors. The experience also allows visitors to enjoy a drink in Life’s brand-new cafe bar.

Chief Executive of Life Science Centre, Linda Conlon said: “In our new Live Skies show, our presenters will take visitors on a 360-degree journey into the wonders of the night sky, focusing on each season’s chosen constellation, offering an entertaining night out that you can’t find anywhere else in the region.”

Life will also be added brand-new dates for their bestselling Dark Side of the Moon planetarium experience, which combines breathtaking visuals of the solar system set to Pink Floyd’s iconic album.

Conlon continued:  “The Dark Side of the Moon show has proved to be a sell-out success and demonstrated the appetite for evening shows for adults wanting a unique experience rather than a traditional night out.”
