Northumbria Police are on the lookout for two men who could have useful information for officers investigating a recent burglary on Saltwell Road

Officers investigating a burglary in Gateshead are appealing to the public for help and have issues images of two men they are trying to trace.

It was reported that between 6pm on May 2 and 5.50pm on Tuesday, May 3, offenders entered a property on Saltwell Road and stole a number of items.

Items included a PlayStation, jewellery and a quantity of cash.

The offenders have then left the area and were later seen on Fontwell Drive and Cartmel Grove.

An investigation has been launched and enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible.

Officers have released images of two men who were in the area at the time of the incident and could have information which assists the investigation.

The men, anyone who knows them, or anyone with information is asked to contact the police through 101 or use the Tell Us Something page on Northumbria Police’s website citing crime reference 051581M/22.
