Primavera has been hit with a series of burglaries that police are now appealing for information on

Police investigating a string of burglaries at a Gateshead restaurant have issued images of two men they would like to trace.

Between 10pm on June 9 and 10am on June 10, it is believed that an offender gained access to Primavera on Durham Road in Low Fell.

The intruder is said to have damaged a window and CCTV equipment, stole alcohol and £50 in cash before leaving the area.

At 3:50am on June 13, Northumbria Police received a further report that an offender had gained access to the same premises where another window was damaged and a quantity of alcohol worth £300 was taken.

A third incident at the restaurant was then reported in which an offender gained access between 2:30am and 2:40am on July 6, where £300 worth of alcohol and a £50 coat were taken.

All three incidents were reported to police who are treating them as linked and an investigation is underway.

As part of their ongoing enquiries, police have issued an appeal to the public asking for their assistance.

Images of two men believed to have been in the area near Durham Road at the time of the incident and could have information which could assist investigations have been released.

The men, or anyone who knows them, are asked to contact police by either calling 101 and referencing crime number 078715R/22 or using the “Tell Us Something” page on Northumbria Police’s website.
