Ant and Dec share hilarious tips to stay cool amid heatwave - and fans say it’s the ‘most British thing ever’

Ant and Dec are known for their cheeky sense of humour and have left fans in stitches with their latest social media post. The Geordie duo took to their Instagram page on Wednesday (16 June) to share a hilarious step-by-step guide to staying cool in hot weather. England has experienced temperatures of up to 32.2C this week as a heatwave grips the country.

The Television presenters uploaded a series of photos taken during their Saturday Night Takeaway trip to Florida and revealed their tips to cope with the heat. In the first picture, Ant is seen sitting on a chair with a wet flannel covering his face, while a second snap sees Dec taking in cold air from an air conditioning unit.

Another image shows Dec with his back turned to the sun, while the final photo is a selfie of Ant. The pair jokingly told fans to always have their pose ready as cool has two different meanings. The post was captioned: “Just got our disposable cameras developed from Florida. Turns out we’re really cool 🥵😎 #SaturdayNightTakeaway #CoolBeans.”

It has been lauded as “the most British thing ever” by fans as they took to the comment section to give their reaction. The Saturday Night Takeaway hosts were among the stars who attended Sam Fender’s homecoming gig at Newcastle United’s St James’ Park last weekend. The pair beamed, and Dec held a black and white flag as thousands of people gathered in the background ahead of the thrilling show. They have a strong connection to Sam due to their ties to the North East.
