Christine McGuinness has revealed that she is feeling “blessed” despite having had a “crazy year” which included splitting from her husband of 11 years, Paddy McGuinness.

Paddy and Christine have three children together, all of whom are autistic, and have both  spoken openly about the increased challenges they have faced as a family when dealing with the condition.

Christine appeared on ITV’s Loose Women to discuss her new book ‘Amazing Me, Amazing You’ which encourages people to embrace diversity and inclusivity .

She revealed that, despite a tumultuous year, which included cheating rumours, a marriage split and looking after three children with disabilities, she was feeling “blessed” and was excited about her upcoming projects.

Christine said: “I’m trying to keep going and enjoy life - I’m so grateful for everything and to be here today. I’m blessed in so many ways, it’s been a crazy year but I’ve had so many positives.”

The 34-year-old herself was diagnosed with autism in 2021 and later opened up about having ADHD. Now it seems that she is ready to share her story with the world as she has a new documentary, Christine McGuinness: Unmasking My Autism, coming out on 15 March.

The mother-of-three added: "I’m excited, nervous and proud to present this incredible short film that I truly hope and believe will help thousands of autistics feel understood, recognised and valued."

Celebs flocked to comment after she shared a clip from her appearance on ITV’s Loose Women on her Instagram.

Peter Andre was among the first to reply, posting a string of red heart emojis.

Blue singer Duncan James said: "Amazing," also with a string of red heart emojis.

TV presenter Sarah-Jane Crawford commented: "Well done! Cannot wait to watch."

Despite her positive outlook, Christine has had an extremely difficult year. Christine McGuinness broke her silence on the breakdown of her marriage with Paddy and her autism diagnosis, admitting that she was “faking” living the perfect life while they were together.  It was not helped by the fact that Paddy had reportedly been messaging another woman “for some time”.

The model explained that she and Paddy are still on good terms, while admitting that she was presenting this false image of the “perfect wife” when they were together.

After a tricky separation, Paddy McGuinness was recently seen dating Kirsty Gallacher. The Take Me Out host, 49 was spotted ‘getting cosy’ with the TV presenter at the Ham Yard Hotel in London’s Soho.

Despite his blossoming new relationship, a stoic Christine has said: “I want the children to be able to see Mummy and Daddy getting along so we still have family days out and can be in the same house.”

Fans offered their support to the newly-single mum and wished her luck for the year ahead.

One commented: “Thank you for fighting for the understanding that every autistic person is different.”

Another agreed saying: “👏 thank you, girls really need more autistic women role models!”
