Police appeal to public in trace for male after burglary

Officers investigating a burglary at a Gateshead business have issued an image of a male they would like to trace.

Reports indicate a man entered a secure building site at Aspire Technology Solutions on Pipewellgate, Gateshead and stole tools and equipment valued at £2,000.

The incident is said to have taken place between 8am and 5pm on Sunday, March 20.

At this time, it is believed the incident is connected to another theft from Hanover Point on Clavering Place in Newcastle, which also took place on March 20 and saw two males cause damages of up to £100,000 on the secure site.

Police have issued an appeal to the public asking for their assistance in identifying the two men.

They have also issued the image of a man who was believed to have been in the area nearby Aspire Technology Solutions at the time of the burglary.
