Police urge public to help find knife-wielding Throckley men

Police are looking to trace two men reported to be wielding knives and threatening members of the public in Throckley.

The incident happened shortly before 2:40 pm on Thursday, July 7.

A man was cutting grass outside a premises on Broomy Hill Road when he was approached by a group of offenders who pulled out knives and threatened the unsuspecting 28-year-old.

The offenders then chased him down the street before fleeing the scene.

The victim was not physically injured but the incident has left him shaken and distressed.

An investigation has been ongoing and a number of enquiries have already been carried out.

Officers have now released the images of two men who were in the area at the time of the incident and could have information which assists police.

The men, anyone who knows them, or anyone with information, is asked to contact police using the 'Tell Us Something' page of their website or by calling 101 quoting reference 078099M/22.
