Police want to speak to these two men after shock Wallsend theft

Police are looking to locate these two men after a shocking theft in North Tyneside.

Police investigating a theft in North Tyneside have released images of two men they would like to trace.

It was reported that at about 11.30am on September 7, a woman was approached by two unknown men in Poundland within the Forum Shopping centre, Wallsend.

These unknown individuals engaged in a conversation with the woman, and it is then believed another individual, a woman, discreetly stole the victim’s purse, containing almost £900, whilst she was distracted.

Enquiries are ongoing, including reviewing of CCTV, and police have now identified two men who they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

They were in the shop at the time and could have information that may assist the investigation.
