Former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison penned an emotional tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II ahead of the monarch's funeral today.

The Newcastle-born celebrity shared a video that showed photographs of Her Majesty throughout the years on Instagram and thanked her for her service.

Pattison wrote: "I can't believe that today we say goodbye to this legend... Rest in Peace, Power and eternal Paradise Queen. We'll miss you."

The I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here winner has been outspoken in her mourning of the Queen, sharing a number of posts online after Queen Elizabeth passed away at her Balmoral residence on Thursday, September 8.

On that day, Pattison labelled the Queen a "legend, a lady, a hero, a mother, a grandmother, a powerhouse woman, an inspiration, a leader, a grandmother".

The former Loose Women panellist also shared a moving illustration of Queen Elizabeth II alongside her husband Prince Philip.

She then slammed Royal Family critics in another post, saying many online "have forgotten how to behave".

She wrote: "You might not be British, or a royalist, or particularly patriotic... but before the queen was absolutely anything else, she was a mother, a grandmother and a great grandmother... and I can't believe people don't think she deserves our respect."

The Queen's funeral took place at Westminster Abbey today - Monday, September 19.

Following the service, the Queen's coffin will be led on a procession to the Wellington Arch, where it will arrive at 1 pm.

From there it will be taken to Windsor, where the Queen will be buried alongside her father, her mother and Prince Phillip.
