The Gateshead site offers one of the most popular displays across the North East.

Autumn is officially here, and it won’t be long before fireworks light up the long, cold nights as we creep towards Christmas.

Between now and the festive season we have firework night and a popular North East annual event is returning once again this year. Thousands of people are expected to head to Gateshead’s Saltwell Park and this is everything you need to know about the 2024 edition of the event.

When are firework displays at Saltwell Park in 2024?

With Bonfire Night falling on a Sunday this year, the firework displays will take place on the evening of Saturday, November 2.

What time are the 2024 firework displays at Saltwell Park?

Unlike previous years which have seen orgaisers confirm two displays in one evening, there is just one effort this year.

Gates are set to open at 4pm with the fireworks starting from 8:30pm. Families can enjoy fairground rides and food stalls while they wait.

How to buy tickets for Saltwell Park’s firework displays

Tickets are now available online through the event’s website.

Tickets cost £8 per person while family tickets are also available. They cost £25 and allow access for two adults and two kids.

What else is on site for families?

The displays aren’t the only things for families to enjoy throughout the evening. Organisers are promising a huge fairground which will be open throughout the evening as well as street food and stage entertainment. Last year this came from DJs, a fire show, dancers and more.
