Sam Fender shares vlog-style videos to Twitter from Australia tour

Sam Fender has made a triumphant comeback to live shows after a short break to focus on his mental health. The multi-award winning 28-year-old from North Shields shared vlog-style video clips to Twitter showcasing his time in Australia on tour.

Fender started a four-date tour of Australia on Friday November 18 in Melbourne, he then performed a show in Sydney on Tuesday November 22. Fender will perform in Brisbane today, before returning to Sydney for the last show on Saturday November 26. He also was a part of the Harvest Rock Festival line up in Adelaide, which took place on Saturday November 19 and November 20.

Fender took to Twitter to share footage from his performances in Australia, and behind the scenes clips. The first video was posted on November 19, with the caption: “Soo nice to be in Australia!! Melbourne that was absolutely insane!” The 30 second clip now has 38.6 thousand views from fans. The footage showed Fender and his band performing to a large crowd, where some fans wore Newcastle United shirts. The clip had Fender’s 2019 track Hypersonic Missiles playing over it.

The second clip showed Fender’s set at Harvest Rock Festival. The post was captioned: “Sunny in Australia they said. Thank you for braving the rain @harvestrockdl. That was class!”

The third clip was of Fender’s time in Sydney, posted this morning. It was captioned: “Sydney that was beast. Next up Brisbane!” We see Fender and his band spot fans in Newcastle United shirts, as lead guitarist Dean Thompson jokingly impersonates David Attenborough saying: “In the wild we have spotted two wild toon tops in the wild.” Other clips inlcude Fender and the band joke around behind the scenes, footage of the fans dancing and singing at the show, and the performance itself.
