Councillors have complained that graffiti on the High Level Bridge across the Tyne has left it in an unsightly state.

The 170 year old bridge was cleaned up in 2018 by Northern Rail, who are responsible for the bridge, but has since been defaced again.

Meanwhile, I Scream For Pizza is in a battle with other restaurants on the Quayside over its alcohol sales.

Newcastle City Council heard on Tuesday that the business wanted to extend its alcohol license to 10pm and allow for takeout drinks but other eateries claim that it will lead to litter and anti social behaviour along the Quayside.

And finally, the Premier League has decided that Newcastle United will be allowed Saudi Arabian sponsorship deals. The Premier League also decided that they will have final say as to if the sponsors are fair market value.
