Sausage and Cider Fest to make return to Newcastle with chilli-eating competitions

The indoor food and drink festival will be at Newcastle Civic Centre in November.

It has been announced that the iconic Sausage and Cider Fest will be returning to Newcastle this November.

The indoor food and drink event will run two sessions, where the people of Newcastle and beyond can enjoy the mouth-watering combo.

On Saturday, November 11, the Sausage and Cider Fest will return to Newcastle’s Civic Centre, with the first session taking place between 12pm and 5pm, and the second between 6pm until 11pm.

Last year, Sausage and Cider Fest welcomed over 80,000 visitors to their festivals, which took place in over 50 locations across the UK.

The food and drink event offers a variety of unique flavours in both craft ciders and sausages, which people can enjoy while watching live entertainment courtesy of tribute acts and local bands.

Alongside fifteen different cider flavours, which include chocolate and pineapple, a selection of different alcoholic beverages including prosecco, gin, beer and soft drinks.

An unmissable event for food and drink lovers in the city, the event will also include on-stage chilli-eating competitions, making the evening certainly one to remember!

Marketing Manager for Sausage and Cider Fest, Tom Cullen said: “After a successful year of the Sausage and cider Fest indoors, we are excited for the year ahead and hope to welcome even more visitors nationwide.

“We’re delighted that after working closely with Newcastle Council’s Events Team who have helped bring this unique food festival to the local area, we can ensure it will help secure and develop great economic benefit to the city by encouraging more visitors and supporting local businesses.”
