The day parents will discover which secondary school their children will attend in the next academic year is here, and this is all you need to know about the event.

What is secondary school offer day?

This offer day marks the date families will find out whether or not a child has been given a place in their preferred secondary school for the 2024-25 academic year.

Anyone waiting for an application will be made aware of the decision by either letter or email.

What do I need to do on national offer day?

If you are happy with the school place offered to your child, then you do not need to take any further action.

The school should contact families in due course with details about school uniform, taster days and summer starter information.

Can I appeal my child's secondary school place?

Yes, places can be appealed through Newcastle City Council, the full process can be found on the council's website. No appeal can be made until offer day and more information will be in place as we get closer to offer day itself.
