Shrek themed rave coming to Newcastle
and live on Freeview channel 276
The first Shrek movie was released in 2001, starring Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz in the lead roles of Shrek, Donkey and Fiona.
The plot (as if you don’t already know it all off by heart), revolved around an ogre who reluctantly agrees to rescue a princess in order to reclaim his home - a swamp which has been taken over by fairy tale creatures.

Despite being released 22 years ago, Shrek still has a hold on most of us today - especially the generation who grew up with the film, who are now adults.
It was announced that this year, A Shrek themed ‘rave’ will be touring the country, created by Like It Love It Events, to cater to the adult audience of Shrek lovers.
The event will celebrate the iconic movie in the form of a club night. It will include DJ’s playing hits from the movie soundtracks (no doubt remixed with the usual dance anthems), performers, Shrek themed drinks, prizes and much more.

The first and second release tickets have now sold out, but third release tickets are still available for £15 per person.
