SIX Baltic encourage North East to explore veganism with Autumn Tasting Evening

Sophisticated rooftop restaurant SIX, which is located at the Baltic on the Gateshead side of the Quayside, have launched a plant-based Autumn Tasting Evening set to take place on World Vegan Day.

The menu has been created by Food Director of SIX Baltic, Greg Lambert, and will showcase the flavours and creativity of plant-based cuisine.

As the world comes together to celebrate the vegan community and vegan cuisine on World Vegan Day, which is taking place on Wednesday, November 1, Six Baltic hope to inspire others to explore veganism, while showcasing the delicious dishes that can be created by using only vegan ingredients.

SIX Baltic’s Autumn Tasting Evening aims to provide an unforgettable dining experience courtesy of their incredible chefs, while also honouring the large vegan community in the North East.

Charley Currie, SIX Baltic’s director and resident vegan, is the driving force behind curating the venue’s plant-based tasting evenings, with two previous events being a success.

Charley said: “As a fellow vegan, I wanted to share my passion for plant-based cuisine with SIX Baltic and create a tasting evening that demonstrates the diversity of vegan flavours.

“After the success of the previous plant-based tasting evenings at SIX Baltic, I thought it was only right to host another, as we continue to redefine plant-based cuisine with innovation and flair.”

While SIX Baltic hope to cater to vegans for the event, they are also encouraging those who aren’t to attend the event in the hopes it will inspire them to discover veganism.

Tickets for SIX Baltic’s Autumn Tasting Evening are priced at £50 per person, with a drinks pairing at an additional £25 per person.
